Un grupo de jóvenes se lleva un medallón de una torre de vigilancia contra incendios derrumbada en el bosque. Lo que desconocen es que esta sepulta el cadáver podrido de Johnny, un espíritu vengativo impulsado por un horrible crimen ocurrido hace 60 años. Y una vez se llevan el medallón, su cuerpo resucita con el único propósito de recuperarlo. El no-muerto acecha al grupo de adolescentes de vacaciones responsables del robo y en su misión de recuperar el medallón procede a masacrarlos uno tras otro, junto con cualquiera que se interponga en su camino
